First Few Words

Hello again blogging world!
It has been decades since I spent my time to write and to post to a blog, which I decided to re-open the experience and see what happen. Today I have my own domain name (alexandertejasukmana.com) to make it even more exciting. Who knows later I decided to design my own blog/website? But for now I won’t go too far, I don’t even understand fully the reason I want to write again. But rather than contemplating too long without any action, I decided just to launch a very simple site for my blog and to start writing again. I will see where it will bring me, but I guess it brings me to a commitment of writing regularly again, at least for the meantime…

If you noticed, the first 3 post on this blog were exported from Medium. So technically this is my first post in my new blog/site. I am not a big, famous, well-known figure for sure, so there’s no launching party, champagne, or even congratulations in order. But I am excited. I am glad that I’ll allow my fingers type something that I personally want to share, to synchronize what my brain thinks with what my heart says. For what I am about to write in this blog, I guess mostly will be related with my world: tech. I adore tech. The whole of it. But I am also amused to the fact that tech won’t work without human. That’s why human will always be the centre of my writings.

Recently I was exposed to the agile way of thinking. To the extend that it affects not only my way of working, but also my way of thinking, my way of living. So for those agile community out there, even though I am not certified in anyway (probably will – considering it), I will write about agile. Not necessarily on the work context, but also on the life context. I am a new parent, and I am very excited to see how agile can help me as parent, to be a better family, and to continuously pursue perfection even though perfection won’t be sitting still.

I will stop here, otherwise my post’s title won’t be relevant anymore. As an ending, I am sharing with you some words from Mark Manson from his famous book that goes:

“No matter where you go, there’s a five-hundred-pound load of shit waiting for you. And that’s perfectly fine. The point isn’t to get away from the shit. The point is to find the shit you enjoy dealing with.”

Mark Manson, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck: A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life

Choose-your-struggle.

Have a great day.
